Today I started my blog

27 May 2015

I woke early this morning as I often do, with many thoughts running through my head. Some mornings I am inspired to write these provoking thoughts down because it helps me to remember and they can used for a personal study point.

This morning I was thinking how, when Ralf and I do our Bible reading, Yehovah opens my mind and I’ve been able to see Him and understand Him more clearly. I’ve been making these connections, in the Bible, like never before.  I’m believing it to be because I have asked Him many times for wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 4:5-7 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  Proverbs 9:10 KJV  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.) And I believe this is the key to why Yehovah does open my mind to see how His word does not return void. (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.) The opening of my mind to see what He shows me through His word is my understanding of Prospering. When we ask for wisdom and understanding and He opens His word up to us it is like Him opening up Himself to us and showing us who He is. All the things of this world will pass away including you and me. But His word will never pass away.( Matt. 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.) You see this one treasure can never be taken away, however, it can be let go by our choosing.

Another thing that He opened my eyes to is the fact that IF you keep reading you will understand His definitions of things… Righteousness I discovered is defined by Yehovah in Deut. 6:24-25 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Then one day as Ralf and I were reading the Bible together and I was so blessed when Yehovah showed me one of many connections He has shown me. We were reading Psalm 23, you know the one that many of us memorized as a child. Ps. 23 {A Psalm of David.} The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Ok so let me break this down how He has shown me.

The LORD (Yehovah) is my Shepherd. (John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me.)  This is Yeshua speaking and He lived the Torah of Yehovah with the same temptations that we endure. He wasn’t the only one who followed Torah and pleased the Father.

I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: (Gen. 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.)  Jehovahjireh= The LORD will provide

he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Ok this is where Yehovah took me back to Deu. 6:25 and opened my eyes to the connection. What is Righteousness? Walking in the instruction/Torah that He gave us to walk in. And why? For His namesake. What is a name’s sake? On account of His name. But He showed me something additional to this. (Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  Rev. 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.)

NAMESAKE, noun One that has the same name as another.

If you have someone named after you that is a Namesake. Well if we are children of Yehovah, Yeshua the bridegroom and we the bride take on His family name, then we will be HIS namesake.
